Transitioning from EU to UK Regulations?

Transitioning from the EU Block

Few UK citizens could fail to have noticed that on the 1st January 2021 the UK waved bon voyage, arrivederci, and auf wiedersehen to our relationship with the EU. After years of planning, filibustering, public and professional concern (and even a few recriminations to boot) about our future relationship with the EU (and the EFTA countries – Norway, Lichtenstein, Iceland & Switzerland) it’s happened. If you’re a local business, Coventry & Warwickshire Growth Hub has awarded me a contract to help you transition from EU to UK regulations. Like any new relationship, it’s going to create a lot of doubt and anxiety, particularly amongst business owners, many of whom have never known any different. Having worked with dedicated systems, administration and hauliers who’ve shuttled back and forth across the English Channel previously without issue, some challenges now await. So, I would urge you to please reach out and ask what might impact you, even if you think you already know. There are changes to import/export duties, certifications, the movement of data and perhaps more importantly the movement of people.

Paid for Support

This is why I’m especially pleased to be able to announce that I’ve been appointed to help you transition from EU to UK rules. My primary support will be for those working in the SME community across the Midlands six regional Growth Hubs (Coventry & Warwickshire, Greater Birmingham & Solihull, the Black Country, Stoke on Trent & Staffordshire, Worcestershire Business Central and the Marches).

EU Business Diagnostic

This role will be an important one for those who stand to benefit from it most. So, firms that work in any sector but especially Retail, Transport & Logistics, Service, Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering, Construction. Chemicals, Electronics & Machinery, Life Sciences and Consumer Goods are encouraged to visit the EU Transition Business Support Diagnostic and register their interest and either myself or one of my advisor colleagues will get back in touch to understand better what support you need.  You can access the portal at:-
