We were delighted to accept an invitation from Stagecoach South West to the official launch of their latest service extension; the upgrade to their Cheltenham to Gloucester Route 10 service. The new service has benefitted from a multi-million pound investment to a new nineteen strong fuel efficient, leather upholstered 'Gold' fleet. We were happy to take a place at Aylesford School's Careers Fair following mentoring events earlier in the year. Close to one hundred children and parents attended the evening's event to find out more about specific careers on offer. Genesis DM also represented The Chartered Institute of Marketing, and provided advice and guidance and ample reading material to take away and digest.

Royal Warrant Holders appoint GDM for Interiors Exhibition

A group of eight Royal Warrant Holders appoint GDM to build their marketing presence ahead of what could be argued as being, the largest interiors exhibition in the UK this year. A diverse group of interiors companies, predominantly manufacturers, which include a:- cabinetmaker, flooring contractors, glass maker, chandelier manufacturer, specialist painter, restorers and fabrics supplier are preparing to share floor space at Decorex 2012 and in so doing have appointed GDM to manage and build upon their reputations ahead of the show. "To manage the needs of one manufacturer and the Royal Warrant Holders Association itself was a tremendous accolade, but to be appointed to seven others is a real honour and testament to the commitment we bring to each and every one of our clients", said Nigel Davis, MCIM Chartered Marketer and Managing Director.

Extension to Route!

Hot on the heels of the recent win courtesy of Stagecoach West, GDM has now been appointed to manage the needs of another of their divisions, this time Stagecoach East Midlands. This first campaign required a solution for their Doncaster routes.

GDM were invited guests at this seminar run by Constant Contact (one of our e-marketing partners) to hear a range of speakers talk honestly about how best to embrace these technologies. The sessions included speakers who shared both good and poor experiences on subjects from Twitter, Linked-In and Facebook to You Tube and Flickr.

Up to the job?

As part of our strategic review into one of our manufacturing clients sales and marketing processes, we were enlisted to interview several candidates for a newly created sales co-ordinator vacancy. The client asked for our help in determining which of the candidates had the most suitable attributes, making recommendations as to who should be invited back for a final interview with the board of directors. The process took around a month from start to finish before an appointment was made in July.

Changes to Route!

In a break from the norm Stagecoach West, a division of Stagecoach Bus Group PLC, have appointed GDM to identify residential properties across Gloucestershire for part of a direct marketing campaign to homes in the region. Stagecoach have already used GDM many times before but this is the first time we have been appointed to work with West.

Royal Warrant holder retains GDM's input for 5th year

N.E.J. Stevenson Limited, furniture maker to HRH Queen Elizabeth II, has retained GDM for 2012. This is great news for the company, especially this year with the Queen's Diamond Jubilee looming in the summer. Stevenson's have already been heavily involved in preparation for the celebrations so there's a lot to tell!

GDM - Supporting Warwickshire Schools

As part of our on-going commitment we have once again agreed to support and guide Year 8 (aged 13) through to Year 12 (aged 17) students within local Warwickshire schools. As a business owner with children in these year groups I know only too well, the value of providing a real depth to these children's understanding of commercial employment possibilities. Tomorrow's marketers will need excellent skills in English, mathematics, languages, IT, Design Technology & Humanities if they are to seek rewarding and exciting careers in marketing. This first event at Kingsley School, Leamington Spa was very well received by this Year 9 group and will be the first of many such events to take place this year.
